This use line consisted of 3 courses. The first course went in depth on the ideation phase with methods as interviewing and creating experience prototypes. The second course went in depth on the realization phase, in which I learnt how to 3D model. The third course allowed me to gain skills with user testing and evaluating the economic viability.
Our conducted research through surveys and interviews shows that people struggle with planning their trip when discovering a new city. Besides, people get distracted by their phones while planning the trip and discovering the city.
To solve this problem, we introduce EcoExplorer. The travel device that guides people to the hidden gems of Amsterdam without phone distractions.
After choosing a category and answering a trivia question, one of the 4 suggested activities can be chosen. The more sustainable the activity, the more points are earned. These points can be used for a sale at one of the sustainable partners.
With 3 booths throughout Amsterdam, users can start their journey wherever they want. The product can be rented for 6.99 euros per day with a deposit of 20 euros.
